Tango Lingua presents :- A special day of tango workshops in
Cheltenham, taught by Joe Hudson on Sunday 28th August 2011 3x 90 minute workshops with a 90 minute
practica.
The workshops will explore a range of tango movements and principles to help you get more from the dance. The first 2 workshops are open to all dancers with 6 months and onwards of tango experience. The last one is open to dancers who are already comfortable using the cross, ochos and giros - and the brave.
Musical walking and fluid connection 12:00-1:30pmHow to combine simple elements into musical and playful combinations with confidence. How leader and follower can use a simple concept to stay connected through every point of a step.
Tools for more delicious crosses and giros 2:15-3:45pmHow to lead and follow these classic movements effortlessly, elegantly and creatively. The emphases will be on developing clear yet unforced chest lead, and how to stay connected, with some practises for you to take away.
Tango brain teasers 4:00-5:30pmHaving fun with advanced concepts, including colgadas, volcadas, lifts and secardas for both leader and follower. The workshop will be a series of games and fun exercises which introduce the concepts in a way that will allow you to begin to explore them creatively in the dance.
