Tango Kata

What is a tango kata? Just like a kata in martial-arts, or indeed other dance forms, it's a sequence of movements designed to assist the training of technique, with benefits to coordination, balance, timing and physical condition. A kata typically is something you can practice alone, which makes it an especially useful training tool, when you don't have a regular practice partner.

The 'Fuertes Raíces' (strong roots) kata, developed by Joe Hudson is possibly the first kata of its kind. You can see a video of the front and side views of the kata below.
